raising dust
Personally, I would translate this loosely (and naturally), along the lines of "... raising dust at high speeds"

: or even "raising hell"? (would keep the religious 'flavour', but I rather like the dust...)

the ways of the Lord
This you have to consider too; it may well depend on the (intended) readership of the magazine. A glossy might want "careering around /(or) as a speedster/ endangering the ways of the Lord"

Derek Gill Franßen
: This was my first thought as well, or "a speed daemon tearing it up on the ways of the Lord" (that almost sounds blasphemous). ;-)
