German term

Sterblingswolle

German to English Tech/Engineering Textiles / Clothing / Fashion wool recovery
This is wool that has been salvaged from an animal that has died naturally. My references give "pelt wool" but I have used this for "Hautwolle". Is that wrong and is there another term in English?
Proposed translations (English)

dead wool

Wool sheared from a live animal is called live wool. Dead wool is sheared chemically from dead animals and it contains no oils and is rough to touch.

DEAD WOOL
Picked from the carcasses of sheep that have been dead a considerable time. This wool is not as valuable as plucked wool, as it usually carries more dirt and vegetable matter and is more or less perished by exposure.
