flip issue Explanation: Thanks to the support from Martin and Steffen, I am posting this as an answer. Looking around, it seems that "flip" on its own is more common than "flip-over". This seems a reasonable reference: Women's Health April 2009 Beauty Flip Issue is Fabulous We were there to hear Keri's take on how to eat healthier in quick and easy ways, and also to celebrate a unique feature: the very first Food Flip issue. The "flip" features one side of the magazine with the regular Women's Health format, but turn it over and upside down, and the other side had food-related topics. http://www.advicesisters.net/2009/03/womens-health-april-200... I also found this in a "comics" glossary: flip-book: A comic which contains 2 stories, which start at opposite ends of the book. Each story is "flipped" upside down compared to the other story. Also referred to as "tete-beche". http://docs.comics.org/wiki/Glossary -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day20 hrs (2009-08-18 08:09:10 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Thanks, Susan. As I researched flip-over and flip, I came across a lot of references to comics - I think the concept may well have originated there :-) |
