German term

Kranvollernter

German to English Tech/Engineering
term found in a technical text concerning equipment used in the forest industry. As I understand it, it is a comprehensive "harvester" - -ernter - of trees, with a crane. Is there a nice English term for this? Help!

(crane) harvester

The cranes go into harvesters. To distinguish from harvesters which don't have a crane, you could say, a "crane harvester"
The following is from the 1st URL below.
"Timberjack harvester cranes: productivity and reliability

Timberjack began full-scale production of its own forest machine cranes at the beginning of 1999. The crane is a key component of forwarders and harvesters"

Here is a description of a German site:. Caterpillar, 487 (Harvesters

Not that the crane is listed as a component of the harvester.
