Japanese term

溶湯

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Steel casting
In some parts of the patent, this appears to mean the 'melting bath', but in other parts, it seems more likely to mean the melted contents of the bath.
Any ideas Messers Hammond, Cenefil...?
It could be a first-third character abbreviation, but I can't find the proof.
