Norwegian term
stillverk
Norwegian to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
excavation and construction near roads and railway
In a tabled list concerning action to be taken to move traffic onto alignment routes whilst railway tracks and roads are moved for tunnel construction.
Riving/fjerning: Bygning x og x samt stillverk, Konstruksjoner (bruer, stoettemurer og lignende).
Is 'stillverk' a control tower/interlocking plant(?!) (as in Norsk Engelst Stor Ordbok), or is it called something else? I've seen pictures and am not convinced they're towers.
Advice appreciated!

It's one of those horrible words that have dozens of different meanings. Which one applies can only be determined with the help of a picture or a drawing.

I also think it matters little in thios context excactly what you use, as this concerns a miscellaneous lot of buildings that are to be levelled and removed; what you\'re looking for is a nice, round expression with loosely the same meaning as stillverk - like \"trackside buildings and switch stations\".
