Portuguese term
garantia de escala
Portuguese to English
Bus/Financial
Engineering: Industrial
annual report
Can't find an expression I like for this... Thanks.

Note from asker:
Thanks for the help. Have decided to go with "the guarantee obtained by the scale of the program..." rightly or wrongly. |
2 hrs
economies of scale
it seems that this phrase is more about the "guarantee" of large scale operations than the benefits, but this is just one suggestion..
"Close to 680 thousand tons of steel plates will be used in the construction of the vessels. The economies of scale afforded by the program established a paradigm that ensures the modernization and international competitiveness of our naval industry. Orders have already generated 15 thousand direct jobs in Brazil (or whatever country it's referring to)"

Note from asker:
Thanks for your perspective. I ended up using "the guarantee obtained from the scale of the program..", which is less about the economy of scale and more about the volume of orders guaranteeing that the program will continue with success. |

Thanks for your input. As with the other answers, it helped me to arrive at the translation I eventually used, although none was exactly what I wanted. |
