"O noivo deverá trazer as alianças no bolso do paletó. Assim que chegar à igreja, deverá entregá-las para a pessoa responsável pelo cortejo, que as colocará na almofadinha do pajem na hora da entrada das crianças. Caso não haja um pajem, elas permanecerão no seu bolso até a hora da bênção."

: ring bearer is usually a little boy who accompanies the flower girls.... ushers do... but they are also usually the groomsmen

I thought ushers show the guests to their seats. There's probably a cultural difference involved (being part of the groomsmen). Check my references....o pajem leva os anéis (ao menos no Brasil).
