I don't believe the word "statistics" is used in the title of the job in English with either "traffic" or "transportation". It is ONLY USED 4 times in Google as "traffic statistics analyst." When someone is a "traffic analyst" or a "transportation analyst" it is obvious that individual works with statistics.
