Portuguese term

Tetos - emassados e pintados, e rebaixados com iluminação embutida

Portuguese to English Bus/Financial Real Estate
A bit technical here. This is a description of the ceiling of the building being assessed for appraisal. "rebaixados" is my main doubt, so here goes my try:

"Ceilings - taped, mudded and painted, and (???) with built-in lighting."

From looking at the google images, emassar seems to mean to "tape and mud (the wall/ceiling)" but I could use reaffirmation of this.

Discussion

Mario Freitas Aug 13, 2015:
It's not suspended, As it comes from the ceiling DOWN. Lowered is the antonym of suspended, for the same purpose.

Get off your high horse and look up "tape and mud" Out of all the English dictionaries, you have to bring up urban dictionary full of thug-type language? You are certainly not contributing positively to the proz community.

Actually the entire boards are made of plaster, and not only plastered. Thank you!
