En cuanto a la segunda parte, aunque community traducida lirtalmente al inglés es comunidad, utilizaría "culture" aquí - me parece un poco raro en inglés decir que una comunidad ha influido en el diseño de un edifio en particular, es más bien la cultura que han creado como colectivo.
