Spanish term
Area Fitozoosanitaria
Spanish to English
Science
Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)
This is part of an address at the top of an Animal Health Operations License (Licencia Zoosanitaria de Funcionamiento) that I'm proofing. The word I'm really struggling with is "fitozoosanitaria"...
Would it be Plant and Animal Health Area/Department?
TIA

Phytosanitary Area
I'm not sure you should translate it if it is part of an address. If you do, however, "phytosanitary" is widely understood:
of, relating to, or being measures for the control of plant diseases especially in agricultural crops <phytosanitary treatments> <a phytosanitary commission> (fr Merriam-Webster's)
of, relating to, or being measures for the control of plant diseases especially in agricultural crops <phytosanitary treatments> <a phytosanitary commission> (fr Merriam-Webster's)
Note from asker:
Thank you, Patricia. Well, I guess it's more of a heading than an address, one of those governmental agencies with a five-line name... The problem is the "zoo" part of it. |
