Spanish term

ochava

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
Hi. This term comes from the same housing project description I've asked several questions about. Under the heading "ochavas" it reads: "Las ochavas serán de un radio de nueve metros, para permitir el fácil acceso de vehículos de servicio como recolectores de basura, bomberos etc." Does the term "ochavas" mean the same thing as the term "chamfers" that appears in one of the glossaries in this context?

corner

Se llama ochava al radio de giro en una esquina. En Argentina también se llama ochava a la esquina propiamente dicha.
