Spanish term

Lionesa ( meat - Uruguay)

Spanish to English Other Food & Drink
This is not the same as a profiterole (the Spanish meaning) nor does it refer to Lyonnese sauce....It is some kind of cold meat a bit like frankfurter, eaten in uruguay and possibly elsewhere.....any help with a translation would be greatly appreciated

Maybe this is a brand name, rather than a type of food? Just a though.
Non-ProZ.com Nov 9, 2004:
Lyonnaise Sausage A lyonnaise sausage is not, it would seem, the translation either, since from what I can understand Lyonnaise sausage can be prepared using a variety of different sausages as a base....maybe I'm wrong? Any natives of Lyon might be able to help!!!

frankfurter cold cut or sth like that

I don't think there exists a real equivalent for this Uruguayan cold cut, I'd put an explanatyion and maybe "lionesa". or "lionesa" cold cut or meat.

Baloney

Good luck!

Good luck!! Fancy a sandwich? Bye, :)
