Discussion

FVS (X) Oct 5, 2011:
I tthink the 're'ampliacion is just one of those Spanish augmentatives rather than meaning repetition.
Benjamin A Flores Oct 5, 2011:
La palabra reampliacion no está en el Diccionario. Having said that (actually is copy / paste from the RAE). This is legalese, some bureaucrat wrote that. From the context, I infer this was an addition to an act i.e. Minutes of a legal procedure.
Ampliación f. Aumento de la cantidad, la duración o el tamaño de algo. Covers it. So what they are trying to say is that they did that procedure several times.
Am I making sence?
Lydia De Jorge (asker) Oct 5, 2011:
confused! If reampliación is supplement or amendment, then what is ampliación? I am at a loss! I feel like I am missing the obvious... can anyone shed some light, please.

amendment of minutes

Reampliación es jerga legal, por lo que solamente "amendment" es suficiente.
Peer comment(s):

neutral FVS (X) : I don't think there are any minutes here.// This is not a meeting or hearing, it's an affidavit.

supplement to (and clarification of affidavit)

This looks like an expert witness is giving evidence on Columbian law in a foreign jurisdiction.
