I'm sure many prozians have come up against this one. It's the"líneas" that is leaving me unsatisfied with my attempts. At other points in the text the reference is just to "líneas" and sometimes to "ayudas" (not to mention reference to "líneas de acción" and "líneas" in that context....)

Here's the sentence itself: Las actuaciones realizadas hasta la fecha por la Administración General del Estado, y las *líneas de ayuda* establecidas a estos efectos, han permitido logros importantes

Explanation:
I think it sounds better in English if you add financial to it. Types might fit in sometimes too (for example your sentence). I would, therefore, translate the references to lineas and ayudas with the above (financial aid).
