Spanish term

regletas para conectar la acometida

Spanish to English Other
I'm having fun with this one! From what I've seen in the Proz glossary, "regletas" are multiple connectors, and "acometida" is connection. So how would the sentence go?
"Multiple connectors to connect the connections" would obviously give the poor technicians a laugh, but doesn't sound too good!
Any ideas out there?
Many thanks in advance,
Paul

How about "multiple connectors to make the connections"?

junction

You could refer to the acometida as a junction instead of a connection. Junction implies where the parts "connect" or meet.

terminal block for connecting the drop wire

In this way it doesn´t sound funny to an engineer. I suppose it applies to a box realated to telephonic drop.

If it is for power drop (acometida de poetecia) it may be: "terminal block for feeder cable"

Do you think that the use of this word would provide you with an alternative to 'connections'?

regletas y acometidas son términos que deben estar FUERA de este campo...son para OTRO contexto..aquí debe usarse terminología técnica como conectores, empalmar, conexiones.....
