Spanish term

cabezal motor

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Other Halogen oven
This is a part of a glass halogen oven. It is from a list, which I suspect might go with a diagram that I don't have, naming the different parts of the oven. I don't have the term being used in context. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance!

Discussion

Christine Walsh Mar 7, 2011:
Might be the power head for the fan, then. I feel 'motor' in the source is an adjective rather than a noun. In other words, I don't think it's a part of a motor, but the source of the movement. But then I'm no expert either.
Gwenydd Jones (asker) Mar 7, 2011:
Yes it has a fan I found an article about these ovens here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-1224816/Halog...
Christine Walsh Mar 7, 2011:
Only a vague idea: perhaps the oven has some moving elements which are powered by this motor head. Could be a fan, for example. There are cooking ovens with moving spits, for example.

I'm no technical expert, but "cabezal" is usually "head". Googling head + "halogen oven" brings up a lot of references to a component called a "power head". Here's a picture of one:

I'd never heard of a halogen oven!

head motor

"cabezal" for machines always means head.
electrical motors in spanish is "motor". Therefore, for me the translation is head motor.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Christine Walsh : I suspect 'motor' here is an adjective, not a noun.
