Hello,

Since upgrading to Studio 2015, I have been having an odd feeling that the TMs were not reflecting the more recent projects. My main client updates the TMs themselves so my own TM is not something I was using all the time, either. But I have now been able to verify that indeed, anything I have been working at is not being saved. Most of the time the segments will look saved just as usual, but now I see the main TMs have not been updated since November 2015 (agh!!!).

I just upgraded to SP2 and now I can see an error message when saving the segment:
"Failed to update the translation unit (An unspecified error occurred.)."

So question 1, what is happening here? TMs otherwise seem active and fine, they are clicked-in to be updated (in project settings). How can I fix this error?

Question 2: other than manually importing all the sdlxliff-files since last November, is there any quicker way to update the TMs once the error is solved?

Thanks!

Did you reorganize your TM? Mar 11, 2016

Leticia

Does the TM work correctly when you open it in the view "Translation Memories"?
Does this error still occur after you reorganized the TM?
You may also try to remove the TM from the project and add it again.

Walter

Mystery solved: the folder was "read-only" Mar 11, 2016

Thank you, Walter!!!
I tried all three things and what it turns out (finally I got an error message!) is that the whole folder of translation memories had been marked as read only (!!) and thus they were not updating.
Now I wonder why on earth Trados never said so since November!

Do you have any suggestion as to how to update my memories now, other than to go manually into all projects done since then (145 of them) and import the corresponding sdlxliff-file into the cor

Thanks again! Now at least future projects will update!
