Dear members,

As part of the April release the directory has been updated. Among the improvements:

* It is possible now to search for translators in a given language pair without specifying a field. This removes a step in the search process.

* More information is accessible without leaving the results page, including: availability for the next three months, related project history, KudoZ point break-down, etc.

* It is possible now to search for translators in a given language pair without specifying a field. This removes a step in the search process.

* More information is accessible without leaving the results page, including: availability for the next three months, related project history, KudoZ point break-down, etc.

* The ability to search by location has been improved.

Enrique:

I run a test search on ENG/SP and what I got: listed under
*native language*, instead of Spanish, it reads "Spanish to Norwegian(Bokmal)" (?!).

Can you fix it, please?

I like it, seems to include some good features.

I have noticed the following however:

a) you can do a search on "service type", i.e. translation, interpreting, education, transcription etc. However, how do you set this in your profile?

b) availability calendar - great function, but again: how do you set this?

You are going to be able to set those option in the new profile that will be released today too. It will be announced in a few minutes.

The problem persists. I clicked Directory/Freelancers/English to Spanish translators. This is the first one but the rest are all the same:

Still faulty unicode Apr 20, 2006

I see some false characters because of the unicode mess. Hope this will be fixed soon.
Perhaps you should put someone to work who knows European languages and what their charactes should look like?
