Looking at the context of this text, and using Noronha\'s Legal Dictionary, in this case I believe it is a matter of \"res judicata\".

The definition of \"rescisoria\" (note spelled with \"sc\")means: \"open to judgment, suit to annul a judgment which is res judicata.\"

In Black\'s Law Dictionary \"res judicata\" is defined as follows:
