Although value exists within the research presented in this thesis, much work remains to realise a consistent and marked improvement in the majority of distributed design practice. Several research streams made visible in this thesis, may continue this ongoing development.
Full validation of the prescriptive work
Evaluation of the research was discussed above. Complete implementation and testing of the prescriptive methods in an industrial, distributed setting is required.
