Nella lunga, estenuante ricerca (la curiosità è tutto!) ho trovatoun'associazione:
génie logiciel = software engineering.
Ho fatto una ricerca e credo che il senso sia questo:
"La banca metteva a loro disposizione un posto come esperto in GL(ingegneria del software).
Sarà vero?

Per ingegneria del software (software engineering in inglese) si intende la branca dell'ingegneria che si occupa dei processi produttivi e delle metodologie di sviluppo finalizzate alla realizzazione di sistemi software. Rispetto al termine "informatica", che può essere usato per riferirsi alla scienza del calcolo automatico (computer science in inglese), l'ingegneria del software ha come proprio oggetto di studio l'uso e lo sviluppo delle metodologie e tecnologie informatiche di supporto al processo di sviluppo del software. Nell'ordinamento universitario italiano, non esiste una laurea in ingegneria del software. Esistono invece cattedre di ingegneria del software tanto nella facoltà di scienze per il corso di laurea in informatica, che in quella di ingegneria per i corsi di laurea in ingegneria informatica e ingegneria gestionale.
