Bei Gefahrguttransporten ist das Gerät so anzuschließen, dass es mit dem Batterietrennschalter stromlos geschaltet wird.

Es geht um Expolosionsgefahr. BTW: Batterytrennschalter = battery isolation switch

Trennschalter is a cut-off switch in the US

Richard is right. It has to be: "... so that the battery can be disconnected from the (on-board) supply system with the ... switch."
