Hello! colleagues!
I would like to use this KudoZ personally.
I would like to know ’春の足音’ in English.
Tomorrow I am going to my previous workplace where many patients and their family will get together.
And I must make a brief speech and I would like to utilize this topic. Also I myself want to savor this phrase.
It is described lyrically, so it may be translated variably.
Please provide me with many good ideas.
Mami

Spring is in the air
If you mean the time of the year when spring is not here yet, but you can already feel those subtle changes in the weather and in the air that let you feel like winter is going to an end, although it's still quite cold. Something like this?
Note from asker:
How nice! It's just timely phrase.Thanks,MariyaN |

Comment: "Thank you very much for providing us with such a splendid phrase which is the most popular specially among the children. But this was not a competition which we selected the most impressive one. We just enjoy all phrases contain many kinds of essences were extracted from spring and your hearts. All phrases brought me with joyfulness to us with spring letters. Really thanks! Mami"

sounds of springtime
I'll keep it simple and say, "sounds of springtime".

Just after I posted, I notice that 足音 can signify something that is coming up, rather than something that's already in the present, so that would be wrong.

The footfalls of Spring
This is quite a literal translation, but I suppose more poetic than footsteps. (Well, footfall is more accurate translation of 足音 than footstep anyway.)

fragrance of spring
かなり超訳ですが、文脈にうまく組み込めば、なんだか知的(詩的?)で私たちが持つ「春が来る」というプラスのイメージも加えることができるのではないかと思って、ちょっと冒険してみました。視点をちょっと変えつつ…

If you want to be a bit more poetic, or romantic, at the end of the day, translation is not mere change of language as you know well. I deeply appreciated your comments. :)
I guess you could use this kind of expression depending on where and to whom you speak to. However, I believe it gives you a kind of "credit", hopefully. :)
P.S. 花粉症はよかったなぁ~(笑)もっといいアイディアがあればまた投稿します。でも、いつもTHE BESTを目指してなので文字通りでなく冒険ですから「参考」まで、です。

Fresh Resonance of Spring
What a lovely request, Mami.
If we’re allowed to “stretch” the interpretation here, I imagined 春の足音as the “Fresh Resonance of Spring.”
- The word “resonance” is about sound (音), but it is more of a “良く響く音、響き渡る音.”
- However, “resonance” also has another meaning of “a relationship of mutual understanding or trust and agreement between people” which is a necessary feeling between doctors and patients.
- “Spring” is the time for flower buds and new leaves to come out and open up for all to see their lovely and lively beauty. It’s a time for a “new beginning.” A healthier beginning.
- In spring, everything is renewed and refreshed. And, this “freshness” resonates through the air and through people’s feelings.
- The recovery of patients is a lovely and positive event. It’s the time for a “new beginning” as with the event of the coming of spring. The positive energy of patients’ recovery has a positive resonance in many ways both physically and mentally. And it positively resonates as well as for doctors, patients and the family.

Discussion
It is lovely, wonderful, fun, creative, thoughtful and meaningful ....community. This time, the childrens, their parents and the staffs could enjoy imagining various aspects of ’春’. With no doubt, all phrases bolster our spirits. Also I myself could re-recognize how valuable a word is. I learned it from your kindness. I feel certain-a translator translates peoples'dreams into REALITY. So ProZ DAISUKI! Much appreciated again. Mami
So I must explain many of words word for word. I intend to show the meaning of each words. Moreover several staffs speak English and will help the patients understandings. I asked them to support me so that they can enjoy these words play.

Comparing 2 languages can make them ponder deeply about the meaning.
Anyway, sorry for my private usage. However I just would like to enjoy the weight of words with you and them!
I will show all translations to them explaining them word for word. Also I will add your comments.

Or do you just need the single phrase of 春の足音?
That would be "Footsteps of Spring" - would not that be a good fit?
If you want alternative ideas, then perhaps more context would help, for example, what the speech is about, who the audience is, would this be the title, or how do you plan using it?
