English term

Internal loans portafolios.

English to Spanish Other Energy / Power Generation Energy and electric power
I would like to know what will be the best way to translate this phrase from American English into Puerto Rican Spanish.

It's the translation of a consultation from a Puerto Rican CEO and his American business partners about the electricity and gas production. Is okay to translate it as: Portafolios de prestamos internos?

Thanks for your help.

Here is the full paragraph:

As Customer Service Director he implemented the new Customer Care and Billing System to improve the quality of service, billing and collection of 1.5 million of clients. Also improved the efficiency of the Call Center by 20% and reduced the accounts.

As CFO he restructured the $1.7 B utility debt, reduced the operational cost by 200 million and reduced the benefits of employees and retirees From 1999-2009, he served as Retirement System Administrator and managed $1.5 B of Assets, 12,000 beneficiaries, 13 Money Managers, and Internal Loans Portfolio...

Psicutrinius,

Here is the full paragraph:

From 1999-XXXXX, he served as Retirement System Administrator and managed $1.2 B of Assets, 9,000 beneficiaries, 13 Money Managers, and Internal Loans Portfolios ($220 million Personal Loans and $70 million Mortgage Loans). I hope this will be helpful.

Hi Psicutinius,
Thanks for your help. I', not sure of the meaning either.
Let me copy and paste the full paragraph.

Thanks.
psicutrinius Jul 7, 2014:
I would say "cartera", rather than "portafolio" But I am a Spaniard, therefore I am not that sure that this is really "Puerto Rican".

There is another point here: I do not understand exactly what "internal loans" mean here. Might be "loans to employees", but it is not that clear anyway.

cartera de prestamos internos

This may refer to inter-divisional loans for accounting purposes.

Cartera seems to be more used on Puerto Rican sites than Portafolio.
