Thank you, yes, of course. Teresa seems to be a bit less involved (pardon the pun) today than she was yesterday. Maybe she'll come back to it later.

Is there a synonym for mediale Partner that you can think of? Not sure how to take "die deutschen Medien/die deutsche Presse," which is typically used when you compare it to the British press or something (and often, negatively - die bösen deutschen Medien, diese vierte Möchtegern-Staatsgewalt!).

I like the idea "...auf der Suche nach geeigneten medialen Partnern für eine Zusammenarbeit", though we would have to know if it is really just about ads or about working together with media companies on specific projects.

Didn't talk about "zuversichtlich sein" (although that's another issue).

We'll just have to disagree here. Differences may be subtle, but they are there.

hoffen -> We hope to be finished by the end of the year. -> Come on, guys, work faster!

erwarten -> We expect to be finished by the end of the year. -> Someone actually has a plan! Let's do this!

darauf bauen -> We trust that at the end of the year, the project will be finished. -> Seriously, people, we have other projects in the pipeline. We can't afford to miss this deadline!

hoffen -> I hope it to be over soon. -> Man, is this tiring!
erwarten -> I expect it to be over soon. -> I don't see how this could go on much longer.
darauf bauen -> We trust this to be over soon. -> Please, I need to be somewhere else already.

zuversichtlich sein = to be confident that...

zuversichtlich -> We have confidence in his abilities. -> He'll make it.
hoffnungsvoll -> We have hope for his abilities. -> Well, 25th place means five people were running slower.
erwartungsvoll -> We have expectations of his abilities. -> You better not disappoint, we have a bet going on.

Yes, that's what I came to think after a while, but I feel like most answers have gone too far. Most likely, they won't aspire to become writers or take over the press, but they'll want to incorporate their products into some news article or have one of these one-page ads that looks like one (quite common nowadays; only differentiated from normal articles by a small note).

Looking to, whoever, is not "bauen darauf" here. It's missing the object for that:
(look to) Rely on (someone) to do or provide something:
she will look to you for help

It's this one:
[WITH INFINITIVE] Hope or expect to do something:
universities are looking to expand their intakes

Since "hope" does sound somewhat bad for marketing means, you're only left with "expect to," i.e., "wir haben die Absicht/unser Ziel ist."

Considering the present progressive, I think you might as well push it into the direction of "looking around right now in order to," which I've read quite often:

Momentan sind wir auf der Suche nach geeigneten medialen Partnern für eine Zusammenarbeit an einer Vielzahl von Projekten, angefangen von...bis hin zu..

Es ist eben kein Aufruf, sondern das Unternehmen beschreibt seine vielversprechenden Zukunftspläne (wir sind zuversichtlich, dass / wir bauen darauf...)

I think, though, Regina is correct. It should be "den deutschen Medien," albeit that won't affect my agree.

On a side note, I still have no clue what this has to do in a press release unless I misunderstood Teresa's explanation.

It could also be "Wir haben gegenüber den deutschen Medien bereits unser Interesse an gemeinsamen Projekten von ... bis hin zu... bekundet."

You know what I'm trying to say? Like they don't advertise within the press release here, but only describe the state of affairs. An "Aufruf zur Zusammenarbeit" in a press release would sound odd to me, although I don't want to exclude the possibility.
