@ Roberto The only restriction, IMO, Roberto, would be to use the "of the" in the headings and titles, as we use in PT. For Example "Do Objeto Contratual" or "Das Partes". It would be very undue to translate it as "Of the Contractual Subject Matter" or "Of the Parties" as clause headings. It's the type of literal translation that makes it clear it is a translation, and makes it clear the translator is not a native speaker and perhaps not very acquainted with the contractual jargon. You have to think of the text as if it were a document originally written in English. How would you say it? What is the traditional contract jargon used in Enlglish, not a translation from PT.
The same thing applies to "Parágrafo Único". If you translate it as "Sole Paragraph", you'll let the world know this was a translation from Portuguese done by a PT native, for no EN-speaking country in the world uses "Sole Paragraph", only PT translators.

Roberto, tenho muita experiência na tradução de contratos. Em inglês não se começa uma cláusula com "of the", mas se vai direto ao assunto. Na explicação da minha sugestão eu havia escrito "Isso não se usa em português", mas queria dizer "não se usa em inglês", tal como alguns usam em português. O Mario explicou direitinho.

Thanks, Mario and Gilmar! Would it be incorrect to use "Of the" in contracts in English? (I won't use it as suggested, but I'd like to know if there are any rules about this)

Do e Da Em inglês, devemos excluir as preposições "do" e "da" dos cabeçalhos e títulos.
Aliás, acho que deviam excluí-las também em português, mas quem consegue promover alguma modificação lógica no juridiquês?
