English term
clearing the patient, to clear a patient
English to Spanish
Medical
Medical (general)
*****Clearing the patient*****
If you need to move the arm up the cart column *****to clear the patient******:
1. Locate the cart column mechanical release handle where the arm connects to the nose of the arm cart.
2. Pivot the handle downward. It will pivot down until it is flat, parallel to the floor.
3. Move the handle sideways under the nose of the arm cart. You will feel a spring pushing back.
4. While holding the handle in its sprung position, the arm may be moved up and down on the cart column. Monitor the cart column to make sure it maintains the desired height.
5. Move the arm up enough *****to clear the patient***** while the arm cart is rolled away.

*****Clearing the patient*****
If you need to move the arm up the cart column *****to clear the patient******:
5. Move the arm up enough *****to clear the patient***** while the arm cart is rolled away:
: to remove (something) from an area or surface Just give me a moment to clear all these papers away, then we can sit down at the table. —sometimes used figuratively They had a long talk and were able to clear away all their misunderstandings.
Clear también tiene estos significados:
4
a. To rid of objects or obstructions: clear the table; clear the road of debris.
b. To make (a way or clearing) by removing obstructions: clear a path through the jungle.
c. To remove (objects or obstructions): clear the dishes; clear snow from the road.
5.
a. To remove the occupants of: clear the theater.
b. To remove (people): clear the children from the room.
