***Defecto fijo***. Es la presencia de un defecto de perfusión de iguales características tanto en las imágenes de reposo como en las de esfuerzo. Su presencia sugiere necrosis miocárdica.

Defecto reversible. Es la presencia de un defecto durante el esfuerzo que no existía o estaba en menor grado en las imágenes de reposo. Representa tejido isquémico. En ocasiones, cuando ya existía el defecto en reposo, pero incrementa durante el esfuerzo, se considera como un defecto mixto.
