discrepencies on timesheets
We don't exactly why there is a problem, maybe its not a deliberate act of falsification
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "I like this word choice, but spelled "discrepancies," of course."

dcomptes d?horaires
incoherences in calculating timesheets
I don't know if we can go as far as falsifying here
but incoherences might be strong enough
it could be : in presenting timesheets

: I think 'incoherent' is a faux ami here, I'm not at all sure it can be used in this way in English.

timesheet irregularities
In order not to pre-judge the situation (as they are obviously being careful not to do here), it would probably be best to retain the elment of doubt in the original. Of course, they might not be specifically 'timesheets', but whatever system this particular firm uses for recording hours worked

OED definitons for \'incoherence\':
1 Lack of coherence or connection, esp. in thought or language; incongruity, inconsistency; an instance of this, an incoherent or disconnected statement.
2 Lack of cohesion.
3 Physics. The property (of waves or wave phenomena) of being incoherent; lack of a definite or stable phase relationship between waves at different points (in space or in time).
At best, it might be \'inconsistencies\', but I still reckon \'irregularities\' would be the more appropriate term

French term (edited):
dcomptes d'horaires
inconsistent timesheets or inconsistent number of hours worked
decomptes d'horaires by itself is timesheets or time worked..not necessarily a sheet..
you could have a decompte d'horaire [number of hours worked]
the point is that the numbers are counted inconsistently..not falsely...though they might also be false

: What I first thought of, Jane. But don't you think it makes it sounds as if they are 'not consistent' from (say) one month to the next...?

yes of course and that is very likely what it meant..not consistent one month to another..or per week or whatever..
