Spanish term

colador chino

Spanish to English Other Food & Drink
It is a recipe from a cookbook:

agree Rachel Fell : I'd have said conical strainer, but see it's also called this; different gauges of hole size are available, probably a "fine" one for the cheese above https://www.divertimenti.co.uk/

Thanks for the comment and the link!
agree Lucy Phillips : yes - used to sell these when I worked in a cookshop, it was usually referred to just as a 'chinois' - perhaps Chinese strainer is the US term but I've never heard it.

Yes, that's what I call it too in my Hiberno-English (a chinois, I mean). Thanks!

special strainer for separating the two ingredients

I don't think Chinese strainer does it here. This only means something to the Spanish speaker. We normally talk of separating ingredients in cookery.
