Okay, it makes sense now. "the company" is the party that is looking for funding. They submit the necessary documents and this guy goes to his different venture capitalists on "the company's" behalf to look for funding. He'll eventually get back with "the company" and inform them of the outcome of interest by the venture capitalists.

那么 "outcome of interest" 的意思就是指 这几个 venture capitalists 是否愿意(有兴趣)给这个公司提供资金的结果. Whew, 下次背景还是得说清一点.

这种东西一般作假的不多, 但仍一定要查证真伪. Ask for references and verify past deals that this person handled and was successful at arranging/brokering.

BTW, at the end there, one of the venture capitalists called the guys making their pitch "pigs"! ... of course he meant they were too greedy.

好奇地问一下：exotic currency又该怎么叫呢？

也叫“奇异型货币”吗？网上并无此说。忐忑中。。。

exotic currency外来货币
exotic在不同词组中不一定翻译要成一个意思，否则就过于牵强了！

外来货币肯定是不准确的，因为除了本币，所有货币都是外来货币。前面Steve已经把问题说得很明白了。
