Interpreter Training Courses Jan 9, 2013

Dear Cyla,

There are lots of interpreter training courses to choose between. Some are distance courses and some are not. Some courses are only in English, meaning that they don't involve the second language directly in training, and some are specialized for your pair of languages.

You can Google the special type of course you're interested in. But, as you know, the more renown the institute offering the course is in interpreter training, the easier you'll get hired.

Best of luck!

Hi, Cyla. Jan 9, 2013

There are many good courses. I assume that you are bilingual, or close to bilingual. Choose only the courses that offer a lot of practice in your language pair. Theoretical interpreting courses are like trying to teach someone to swim over the phone. Good luck.
