It's now been a while that I receive - probably mass - messages in a new format via the ProZ directory, and I am really missing an option in these to mark them as spam (or rather scam for some).
See the most recent one below - where the scam consists in the "free voice recording test" (and maybe in promoting those online tools):

Hello,

This is Dina MohaXX, from the vendor management team at New World
YY. Hope you’re doing well 😊

I am contacting you for a new product line but first there is a
voice recording test for free
. It’s a new client and the scope
of the voice recording below:

Project Details:

• language: German
• Service: : Voice Recording
• Volume: will attached file has 5 minutes dialogue for German
language in scope
• Tool: online
• Deadline :Today ASAP

Recording & Audio Specifications
1. Quiet, low-noise environment
2. Mono/mixed-down single-channel recordings are not acceptable.
Vendors can use any of the below online tools:
• https://sendmyXXXX. com/
• https://www.XXXX. fm/voice-recorder
3. WAV format files

To ensure a smooth collaboration, I'd appreciate confirmation on
the following:
• Your confirmation on the five minutes voice recording for
Free.
• Can use any of the online client Tool.
• Can deliver this task Today ASAP
• Profile: Share your updated C.V and profile link on Proz

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Other missing features in these messages:
- Clear information about the sender
- The country they are based in
- Their BlueBoard rating

When I click on the company name in the message, I'm led to the user's page that sent the message instead of the company's page - all this on the new ProZ site.
On the user's page I have to click again on the company link in order to see the company's page, where their Blue Board ratings have been hidden on an anonymous tab. Nor is the Reviews element with the stars clickable. What a great improvement!

Short version: drop whatever you're doing and give us right now + for free a 5 minute recording and

make sure that it's studio quality (Quiet, low-noise environment)

also a basic mono recording won't do, nor any loss of quality due do compression - we want uncompressed WAV format only. (Compact Disc quality)

What is not to like in this 'opportunity' ... to work for free and then never hear from then again!

I could bet that buried somewhere in their T&Cs you will of course give them unlimited rights to do whatever they want with your 'free sample'.

Why would you need a spam / scam button? For such a great opportunity, not to be missed?

What will be the next 'opportunity'? Give us right now a 3000 word free sample translation and make sure it’s formatted ready for publishing?
