English term

I am so sorry.

Non-PRO English to Arabic Art/Literary Poetry & Literature An amateur drama
I am writing a drama set in Iraq. I need a few phrases in Arabic for English speaking actors playing Iraqis.
This phrase is said by a friend of a family to the family just after a bomb blast in which two members of the family were killed.
Thank you so much.

30 mins

Assaf bi cha'ni ma jara

آسف بشأن ما جرى

And if he's offering his condolences to the family, the phrase would be:

Ukaddimu lakom taa'aziyya: أقدّم لكم تعازيّ

Ani kullish asef

Ani kullish asef

If the dialogue is supposed to be in Iraqi dialect, what I have suggested above should be used as it is in Iraqi dialect. Otherwise,
the suggestions made by colleagues are correct.
