Si le procédé n’est pas viable du fait d’une évolution réglementaire interdisant la valorisation agricole de compost issu d’OM, le compost produit sera sans doute utilisable pour revégétaliser les décharges sauvages (à moyen terme), et dans le cas extrême, ce procédé de composatge permettra de diminuer le potentiel de nuisance de cette fraction fermebtescible avant mise en décharge (pas de biogaz, moins de lixiviats)
