I just called my husband who's a leather importer. He said nutria and otter are two different things, that nutria is the same in English. He told me that "doble pelo" means when the nutria skins haven't been shaved, like for a fur coat, it's natural. They shave the nutria to offer a shorter hair finish, and it's used often to line fur coats, wih more expensive furs on the exterior of the coat.

: ¿por qué "imitation"? Me parece que hablan de cuero de verdad. Mi esposo trabaja en esto, él me dijo que "napada" significa "suede" o "nubuck". Yo no sé mucho de estas cosas, siempre se aprende algo. Saludos.
