The text is about a grafic design software and it explains how a certain feature can be used to cut certain media. I am not quite sure what a "friction-fed plotter" is. Could the appropriate translation be "Rollenplotter" as opposed to "Flachbettplotter"?

Plotter mit Friktionsantrieb
friction fed bedeutet, dass das Material durch Reibung mit einer Walze, einem Rad o.ä. bewegt wird. Der Gegensatz dazu is ein Traktorantrieb, wo der Materialtransport über die Perforation erfolgt. Mit Flachbett- und Rollenplotter hat das nichts zu tun.
