French term

Porter

French to English Tech/Engineering Textiles / Clothing / Fashion Article of clothing
Context:
"Porters blouses slaves"
"Porter pull-over"

I've got a picture--but it's not helping me! Both the tops and the jumper seem to have a plunging (but narrow) neckline; other than that, they look like plain tops and jumpers to me. Has anyone heard of "Porters"?? (and yes, there really is an "s" in the first context phrase.

It's a brand name. That's all. Hope this helps.
Peer comment(s):

agree Deborah Workman : As in Freeman T Porter? Seems to be an Austrian designer of "disaster clothing" one of the features of which seems to be slits. 136k hits on Google. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q="freeman t porter"

I don't know if you are still dealing with product testing or not. If you are, perhaps this translation would work.

porter nm
comportement au porter - wear behavior
test au porter - wear test

Comment: "Nope, sorry! No longer product testing, even though I'm still in working on fashion translations. Thanks anyway!"
