Unfortunately, asking the customer is not an option, as he doesn't know any German at all. I guess I will just assume that it is a proper name and not all that important anyway, as it is just in a reference list of past projects where the product was used and is not part of the actual test report. Thanks for the input, and thanks to Ian for the sites (I use them all the time) and if no one else comes up with anything, I would be glad to give points to anyone who puts in an answer so I can close the question.

Looks like asking the customer would be helpful. I also suspect this is a proper name.

@ markusq - Interesting that you mention Degussa, because they make some of the same products (corrosion protection) as the company involved, which is Sika. But unfortunately, I can't find any sign of a company or much of anything really with that name.

Well, I think your first thought was right. For example: DEGUSSA is in Wesseling, Niederkassel and Weil.
