Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) NPLS and bad debts
Tasks performed by a bank's administration dept. include: "Mora contenciosa y fallidos en seguimiento contencioso: Cuatro letrados internos llevan a cabo las labores de recuperación de la mora contenciosa y de la ejecución de los fallidos judiciales con bienes apremiables". I understand it as meaning debts/mortgages that can be enforced/foreclosed according to a court ruling, with enforceable assets. Any opinions?

I agree with you, and do not believe that "fallido" refers to bankruptcy in this context. In my experience, in banking jargon in Spain "fallidos" is short for "créditos fallidos", i.e., uncollectible debts. I interpret "fallidos judiciales" as referring to uncollectible debts subject to (judicial) collection proceedings. The expression "ejecución de los fallidos judiciales con bienes apremiables" may refer to the enforcement of money judgments (awarded in collection proceedings) against judgment debtors who have attachable/realizable assets.
