Se trata de un texto sobre educación.
En una de sus partes dice lo siguiente:
La comprensión no puede ser alcanzada si en primer lugar no se cuenta con un conocimiento concreto sobre los hechos y datos que conforman ese campo del saber. Las dos partes son igualmente importantes, una es la base sobre la que se construye la otra.
Cómo puedo traducir la última frase: "una es la base sobre la que se construye la otra"?

Thank you, and yes, "one" with an "e" and "the other" is enough since "one" following it is implicit and thus makes it superfluous. Mike
