ربما يكون المقصود "قلد" باللام" لأنها تتفق مع السياق
they claim that Islam is not genuine but, rather, copied, learned, imitated and followed others

قلد and not قند
I checked up the text in Shakib Arslan article and it was
الزاعمون أنه إنما نقل
وتعلم وقلد واقتدى
