French term

la réalisation d'arbitrages

French to English Other Marketing / Market Research Economics
A comment about the current economic crisis. The writer is discussing reasons why their business is having problems. They have cited "L'impact de la crise sur le moral des ménages; de nouvelles technologies autour de l'internet and note that "L'évolution du pouvoir d'achat modifie le comportement des consommateurs et la réalisation des arbitrages". I have tried looking up in the usual suspects but 'arbitrages' seems to be misleading me.
As usual, help appreciated.

polyglot45 Feb 25, 2014:
@philgoddard to collect points that serve no useful purpose ?
philgoddard Feb 24, 2014:
Exactly, and you should put that as an answer.
polyglot45 Feb 24, 2014:
artbitrages just means choices or trade-offs - As their buying/purchasing power changes consumers begin to behave differently and make other choices
