nursing care
We have research that shows that decreasing nurses’ workloads by one patient has virtually no effect on deaths and failure-to-rescue in hospitals with poor work environments, but in hospitals with average environments the odds on both deaths and failures were decreased by 4%, and in hospitals with the best environments by 9 and 10% respectively [2]. In this arena, research must focus on the impact of nurses in primary care settings and the impact of changing global demographics.
