"In order to prevent ink transfer to the back-side of the next freshly printed sheet, some offset presses are equipped with UV lamps at the end of the press.
These lamps will very quickly dry the UV ink; it will dry the ink surface but not necessarily all the way through.
When pressing the printed media together for cutting, the surface of these ink areas might crack, causing the sheets to stick together."
