This is part of a letter
Registrar's Office is part of the letter head; from an Irish University. It seems you write to this office if you need prove that you passed an exam with them, for e.g. the BA.
I don't know, if I should just leave it as is and put a translation or an explanation in brackets! I am thinking "Archiv" or something like it.

könnte das "Prüfungsreferat" (Österreich) sein, aber auch die Immatrikulationsstelle (die verfügen über alle Infos, nicht nur über Prüfungsergebnisse).

agree  Maria Ferstl: Möglicherweise ist es das zweite. Immerhin steht im Pons-Großwörterbuch Studentensekretariat. So nennen die Deutschen die Evidenzstelle, wo man immatrikuliert. (Heißt aber jetzt in Österreich alles anders, mit dem neuen Uni-Jargon. Bin nicht uptodate.)
