Discussion

Frank Gerace Jul 9, 2021:
given what ou say about técnicos, you need more context.
AllegroTrans Jul 9, 2021:
What is the precise subject? The reason for asking is that all sorts of people in Spain are called "technicians" even if they don't do technical work at all. The word is often a false friend.
schmetterlich (asker) Jul 9, 2021:
It is a professional diploma granted by a Private Higher Technological Institute.
There is a seal and signature of the "Técnico Administrativo" of the Ministry of Education.
AllegroTrans Jul 9, 2021:

neutral AllegroTrans : Whilst this is a direct and literal translation, care is needed; unless this person actually does something technical (e.g. fixes mobile phones or writes software) the term may be a false friend and he/she could be simply an office clerk

neutral philgoddard : I agree with Allegro.

Registrar would also be OK.

'técnico' doesn't mean 'technician', but simply someone with specialist skills.

agree AllegroTrans : Yes, but I fail to see how "Registrar" is an alternative to Administrator//only if that is what this person actually does, but we don't have sufficient context
