This from the book "Så snak dog dansk, mand" by Lars Daneskov. This book discusses the art of speaking and writing clearly.
The context is as follows:

Is a suggestion.
"Søren og Mette" is part of the title of some text books for children app. 1st to 3rd grade. The text books are about Søren and Mette (a boy and a girl).

: Much better than Lene og Ole, which our son's class struggled with and found very boring! - Luckily he was reading quite well before he started school.

: For some it would simply be Spot the Dog (or Cat in the Hat). This would be truer to the idiom.

Thank you. I considered writing "Sam the Lamb" but found it better not to mention a specific title to make it understandable for the US/UK/AUS.

Discussion
(can't resist that either)
If I had known about the children's version of Søren and Mette, I would have appreciated the biting wit in Harmman's version:)
